The Decay are a punk band from Guelph, Ontario and have been kicking around in some form or another for the best part of 5 years.
Their sound and ethic are a result of thinking Street punk and Oi! was the only thing worth listening to, and then eventually
figuring it was "okay" to like the Get up Kids too.
They have been a staple punk band in the 519 area underground music scene and have played with some pretty cool bands with really nice hair (although what started as a band now seems to be an elaborately upheld scheme for making friends and eating pizza).
They believe punk rock to be a vehicle for personal growth and social change - and songs are written to reflect this.
It's not enough to just be another punk band doing "that '77 power pop thing" or playing D-beat everything - the Decay don't really know what thing they're doing - it's punk rock.
